Select and deselect databases to search
When you initiate a search, it automatically includes all active databases available to your institution.
Archive index databases are not selected by default. If you would like to include records from these databases in your search, select the Archive Index database check box or select them individually.
Alternatively you can click on “Select databases I have access to”. Then click on “Use selected database” button.
To limit your search to specific databases:
Step 1
Click on the CHANGE DATABASES button on the home page or the advanced search screen.
Step 2
Choose the databases you wish to narrow your search to. The selection options are categorized for your convenience under "Browse by Type" or "Browse by Name."
You can individually select or deselect the checkboxes; or choose Select all, Clear all or Select databases I have access to.
What do the database numbers mean?
The numbers shown next to the Change Database button indicate the number of databases you are searching.
