New subjects

Science and Religion and Beliefs have been added to Explore as new subject entry points, with more in development for this year. New subjects add original topic overviews to support understanding, curated articles and videos, classroom-ready questions and activities, and direct links to the Australian Curriculum, enabling teachers and students to easily connect resources with syllabus requirements.

Science supports scientific inquiry, investigation skills and curriculum-aligned classroom research. It provides structured and reliable entry points for student learning across key areas of the science curriculum.

Religion and Beliefs supports the study of world religions, belief systems, ethics and contemporary social issues. It provides structured and reliable resources for exploring religious diversity, cultural practices and contemporary debates.

Professional Learning

Earlier this year, Informit delivered a ‘Back to School’ session focused on practical strategies for teachers and librarians using Explore. Guest speakers from two schools shared real world examples of how Explore has been embedded successfully within their schools.

Our guest speakers included:

  • Jo Ridgers (All Saints Anglican School)
  • Simone Gillies (St Stephen's Catholic College)
