This document outlines the latest updates, features, and improvements made to Informit Explore, as well as upcoming enhancements
These changes are designed to improve user experience and expand the platform's offerings.
In our most recent release, we've implemented several highly anticipated updates, with much more to come.
New Subject Areas: History and Law
We have expanded our subject offerings on Informit Explore to include History and Law, providing users with access to a broader range of Informit’s academic resources mapped to subject and issue categories.
New Issues: Indigenous Australia and Politics
Coverage has been expanded across two critical areas, Indigenous Studies and Politics, and includes the following new issue pages:
- Role of Government – Politics
- Political Parties – Politics
- Treaty – Indigenous Studies
- Deep Time – Indigenous Studies
- Intergenerational Trauma – Indigenous Studies
- Frontier Conflict – Indigenous Studies
Explore Usage Dashboard
An Explore specific usage dashboard has been created for all Explore administrators. It provides detailed statistics on user engagement with subjects and issues, popular search terms, and popular articles, videos and publications. This allows users to gain deeper insights into platform usage and trends.
Default 'Full Text' Filter
Starting from August 28th, a new default "Full Text" filter will be available. This filter removes thousands of abstract-only records from a standard search, streamlining the search process and ensuring that results are more relevant to schools and public libraries.
