Copy, Export and Download Citations
The Informit platform enables you to copy or export citations for individual or multiple search results. Up to 100 results can be exported at one time.
Video overview
The following video provides you with a quick demonstration on copying and exporting citations.
Step 1 : Select Results
From the search results page, select the results you want to copy or export.
You can:
- Individually tick the checkbox beside each result you want to select.
- Select all results on the current page by choosing Select All.

Then select the Cite option located directly above the first search result.

Up to 100 results per page can be selected.
To display 100 results on a page, change the Per Page setting to 100.

Notes
- Only records from one page (a maximum of 100) may be exported at a time.
- Exporting larger numbers of results may take longer to process.
Step 2: Copy Citation
After clicking Cite, the Export Citation window will open.
Under Copy Citation, choose between the following styles:
- APA (7th edition)
- Chicago (16th edition)
- MLA (8th edition)
- Author-Date (Harvard: Cite It Right 4th Edition)
After a style is selected, a preview of the citation will appear below.

Click the COPY button to copy the preview text to your clipboard. You can then paste the citation directly into your document.
Note:
Citations are currently copied as plain text. Rich text formatted citations styles will be available in a future release.
Step 3: Download Citation
You can also choose to download citations for use in citation management software.
Select Download Citation in the Export Citation window.
Choose one of the following formats:
· RIS (Compatible with EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley and RefWorks)
· BibTeX

After selecting a format, click the DOWNLOAD button to save the citation/s in the format selected to your computer.

You can then import the downloaded file directly into your preferred citation management tool (e.g. EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley, RefWorks etc).
