Professor Peter Sherlock is the Associate Director of Yindyamarra Nguluway and Executive Director (acting) of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture at Charles Sturt University.
He is a distinguished historian and theologian whose academic work focuses on the cultural and religious life of Renaissance and Reformation Europe.
His research explores how communities remember and forget, especially the use of monuments and tombs in shaping historical consciousness, belonging and community.
He is a leading expert in theological education and public engagement with religion in Australia, and from 2012 to 2024 was Foundation Vice-Chancellor of the University of Divinity.
